2009 Aston Martin DBS - Infa Red

For today’s Question of the Day, let’s visit the dream world for a little. Imagine you had a budget of $300,000, which supercar would you go for? Some brands you may want to consider – Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati and Spyker.

Let us know your pick in the comments section after the jump.

Here is what the egmCarTech team would buy.

Omar Rana (Editor in Chief): Infa Red Aston Martin DBS.
Stephen Calogera (Senior Editor): Black Aston Martin V12 Vantage.
Kap Shah (Senior Editor ““ West Coast): Waiting for his response”¦ he’s on the east coast this week (still living in LA time). – 2010 Audi R8 Spyder V10.
Anna Tarasova (Editor): 2010 Porsche 911 GT3 RS.

Update:

Kap: How much is an LP640, and can you get it in stick?
Omar: It’s 350K+.
Kap: I only want something with a proper manual trans. I’ll even go as low as an R8 V10 6MT – if I can’t get any lightweight lambos or ferraris in stick.
Omar: R8 V10 Spyder?
Kap: How much is that? Only 6-speed manual though!
Omar: Yes… it’s under or around 200K so ur good.
Kap: Perfect then.

Lol @ Kap. I'll pick the Alfa Rome 8C Spider or Spyder or whatever it is

    Audi R8 V10 Convertible 6MT

Now this is a fun question.

If we're only talking cars currently in showrooms, I think an ice silver Aston Martin DBS or an Audi R8 5.2…but if the Ferrari 458 Italia is eligible, put me down for one of them.

For me, I'd go for the awesome Lamborghini LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni! Because it's a proper old-school Lambo (550 hp V10, 6-speed manual, and RWD). And yet, I'll have around $80k in my pocket!

SLS AMG Black series when it comes out :D . Until then… hmmmmm… Pagani's are all over the limit So I think I'll take the 430 Scuderia, the 458's looks don't really work for me.

I would buy your mother a nice steak dinner and then never call her again.

I would probably just buy a Porsche Cayman and put a limited slip differential in it. Yup, that's about it. Not even a 911…a Cayman would be just fine. Then I'd buy a Corvette ZR-1 and just bank the rest for any maintenance costs for those suckers. Parts and Service are not Cheap!

I would get a gently used Lambo LM001. It would scare the hell out of any Hummer driver! LOL.

Bentley GT or GTC or GT speed

    A 1969 Dodge Daytona !

  • Mike

Porsche Panamera Turbo in Black, or maybe the S63amg in smoke silver. But when it comes to an all weather car I'll have to choose the X6M

  • Ivan Gutierrez

Omar and I think alike, although I'd rather have it in Storm Black with the graphite finish on the wheels and a piano black interior. Next time give a price limit of $350,000 and it'll be the Aston Martin V12 Vantage in my carhold.

  • pies_descalzos

Either an alfa romeo 8c compitzione or a marserati GranTurismo… Pure vanity!!!pies-Descalzos

  • GMfan87

ZR1 baby, and it'd stomp everything in that price range. can't wait to see how well the GT-R V-spec competes

  • R.Singh

I would seriously buy the Maserati GranTurismo S. Great (Italian) design, and the things a beast.
