Steinmetz/Klasen Opel Insignia Sports Tourer OPC is the fastest street-legal Opel ever
Steinmetz and Klasen Motors set a new speed record for a street-legal Opel vehicle with its modified version of the Insignia Sports Tourer OPC – making it officially the fastest Opel ever made. The record speed, set in mid-October at Nardo, Italy, came in at 178.6 mph.
While Steinmetz took care of much of the visual modifications, Klasen Motors added a bigger turbocharger, new exhaust and a retuned intercooler and reprogrammed the ECU. That brings total output of the Opel Insignia Sports Tourer OPC to 400-hp with a peak torque of 406 lb-ft.

World Record in Nardo
