Justin Timberlake - Audi

Even though the Audi A1 won’t be coming to the United States, Audi has chosen an American singer to act as its brand ambassador in 2010 and to play a leading role in an Audi A1 internet campaign to be launched in spring 2010. That’s right, American pop artist Justin Timberlake will be the new face of Audi in 2010.

“Justin Timberlake is an extraordinary artist. He manages to keep advancing his personal development while proving his abilities in different branches of the arts,” says Peter Schwarzenbauer, Member of the Board of Management of AUDI AG for Marketing and Sales. “As a superstar he appeals to a young target audience that we”re particularly intent on exciting about the compact and efficient A1, which is superlatively well suited for city traffic.”

“Audi has always been at the forefront of engineering and technology”, said Timberlake, “and I am very excited to be a part of the next evolution conscience with Audi and the A1″

We guess Audi’s bringin’ sexy back.

    Wrong move! I think Audi is trying to expand their base to 20s something singles. However those 20s would not be considered an Audi. I think most of these A1s will go to the people in their mid 30s or early 40s … and this age group would not want to be associated with Justin or know who he is. Moreover, most luxury purchases are made by the male.
