Some of Google’s SketchUp team has roots in Detroit or grew up in the area – so they all decided to add the great city of Detroit, Michigan in 3D to Google Earth.

Now, while you browse Detroit in Google Earth you’ll be able to see General Motor’s Renaissance building in 3D along with sports venues like Joe Louis Arena  and Comerica Park (home of the Tigers). You’ll also be able to check out other famous places like The Old Shillelagh and the legendary Lafayette Coney Island
