2010 Lincoln MKT EcoBoost Test-Drive Update: A look at the competitors

We’re spending our last day with the Lincoln MKT EcoBoost today so we’re going to go ahead and take a look at what other options you guys have if you’re shopping within this segment.

2010 Lexus RX:

• Base Price: $38,650.
• Power: 3.5L V6 – 275-hp / 257 lb-ft of torque. 6-speed automatic transmission.
• Fuel-economy: 18/24 mpg (city/highway).
• Third-Row: NA.

2010 Acura MDX:

• Base Price: $42,230.
• Power: 3.7L V6 – 300-hp / 270 lb-ft of torque. 6-speed automatic transmission.
• Fuel-economy: 16/21 mpg (city/highway).
• Third-Row: Yes.

2010 Audi Q7 3.6 FSI:

• Base Price: $46,900.
• Power: 3.6L V6 FSI – 280-hp / 266 lb-ft of torque. 6-speed automatic with Tiptronic.
• Fuel-economy: 14/20 (city/highway).
• Third-Row: Yes.

Mercedes-Benz R-Class:

• Base Price: $49,300.
• Power: 3.6L V6 – 268-hp / 258 lb-ft of torque. 7-speed automatic.
• Fuel-economy: 15/19 (city/highway).

Out test-model, the 2010 Lincoln MKT EcoBoost is priced at $49,200 and is powered by a 3.5L EcoBoost twin turbocharged V6 making 355-hp and a peak torque of 350 lb-ft. Fuel-economy is estimated at 16/22 mpg (city/highway). The base MKT starts at $44,200 with a 3.7L V6 Duratec that delivers an estimated 17/23 mpg.
