Question of the Day: Do you prefer manual or automatic?

Manual / Automatic

Yesterday, for our Question of the Day post, we asked you what your first car was and whether or not you missed it. To keep the momentum going, today we’re asking if you prefer a manual transmission or an automatic.

Personally, I prefer manual in any car since it makes the overall driving experience a little more exciting. Of course, when it comes to Porsche PDK 7-speed dual-clutch transmission – I’m a bit indecisive.

    I personally prefer manual – although I own an automatic. Also, I'm not a fan of paddle shifters.

    I prefer an automatic – sure Manual transmissions may be better for performance, but here in Canada, we do not have an autobahn or really anywhere where you actually need or can effectively use the performance.

    I prefer manual but buy automatic for practical reason. with bumper to bumper traffic everyday, it gets tire shifting those gears.

    of course manual…
    yes i know lamborghini can change faster that anyone can do!
    but the feeling won't be right for me if i dont do it myself!
    i dont mind 7G-tronic gearboxes… but i still want the gear knob there…
    so sometimes when i want to drag for myself i can do the full job..:)
