Buick GMC General Manager Michael Richards with 2010 LaCrosse

They are dropping like flies – yes, we’re talking about General Motors top management team. Following Fritz Henderson’s departure, it was announced yesterday that Chevrolet’s General Manager, Brent Dewar, will leave the company and would be replaced by Jim Campbell.

Today, GM confirmed that Buick GMC General Manager Michael Richards has quit his position just nine days after being appointed (at least Fritz lasted longer).

“We wish him the best,” said Susan Docherty, GM’s vice president of sales, service and marketing.

There has been no replacement named for Richards who left ”to pursue other career opportunities.”

Richards, 52, replaced Docherty after she was appointed GM vice president in charge of U.S. sales in October.

HA HA. Next week GM will announce the government is absorbing GM into its fold. It will be run “autonomously” but its fund will be oversee by Congress similar to the US Postal Office or the US Patent Office. Why do you think Congress is raising the debt ceiling!?
