Last week at the 2009 LA Auto Show, Ford unveiled its 2011 Ford Mustang V6, which is now powered by a 305-hp 3.7L V6. According to sources that spoke with egmCarTech, the 2011 Ford Mustang GT will make its debut at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show in January. Details are currently sketchy but we expect the Mustang GT to make well over 400-hp (don’t expect EcoBoost to be a part of the game here).

The 2011 Ford Mustang V6 one-ups the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro V6 in both output and highway fuel-economy, making 305-hp while averaging an estimated 30 mpg on the highway.

The 2010 Ford Mustang GT produces 315-hp from a 4.6L V8.
