All these awards are rubbish. If this wasn't such an important period, the award would have rightly gone to a Japanese car again. Like the european award, this one is little more than a cheap piece of time in the limelight granted by a few dollars. Add in a dose of patriotism for this one and the decision was probably made even easier. Hmmmmm I suppose the Taurus' award has nothing to do with the american auto industry's difficulties.
