Ferrari 599XX

Something new is cooking up at Maranello and it is being hailed “as the ultimate, most advanced road car Ferrari has ever made.” Internally known as the Ferrari F70, the model is aimed directly at leaving the Lamborghini Reventon and the Bugatti Veyron in the dust.

Sources say that the F70 will be quicker, smaller, lighter and more fuel-efficient than the Ferrari Enzo. Power is suggested to come from a twin-turbo V8 with design influenced by the FXX. The main idea behind the new F70 is derived from the Millechilli concept, although Ferrari will use a little more fiber glass to increase performance while shedding weight. A electric setup will also be a part of the vehicle but not to increase fuel-economy. Instead, the electric-motor will beef up the turbos to operating speeds faster than a normal setup, resulting in the elimination of turbo lag.

Power output is expected to be around 660-hp, allowing for a sub 3 second 0-60 mph time and a top speed above 230 mph.

The Ferrari F70 will most likely see a limited production run of 399 units with sales to start around 2012.

Insiders say that a V6 twin-turbo is also under consideration for the 458 Italia and the California.

Maybe the reventon, but I don't think the veyron has to worry. Still not quite there…

Wallie if Ferrari decides to, they will beat the Veyron

Remove all the racing restrictions from an F1 and a add a seat or 2 like McLaren did and they will be somewhere near already

Also Ferrari was the first to break the 200mph barrier with a production car

If it is going to be a 2012, then wouldn't F65 be the great model name
