Earlier in the afternoon, BMW took the wraps off of its new 2011 5-Series sedan, which will go on sale next year. We now have three videos showing us a more detailed look of the new 5-Series and some footage of it in action.

The 2011 BMW 5-Series powertrain lineup will consist of one V8 (407-hp) and three 6-cylinder gasoline engines, as well as two 6-cylinder diesels. A 4-cylinder turbodiesel with an aluminum crankcase and common-rail direct injection will also be made available for the European market. All BMW 5-Series will be available with an optional 8-speed automatic transmission.
