The LS6 engine is bullet proof. Only problem I ever had was when my key got stuck in the ignition. Biggest plus besides the purchase price is the maintenance cost are comparable to a typical GM car. Oil changes don't cost $200 bucks. I don't have to take out a mortgage to get my brakes replaced. New tires tend to be pricey though. I have an 03 C5 Z06. The LS6 engine is bullet proof.
