Was this article written by Ford? Ford was NOT the first automaker to install seat belts! Volvo was the first( 1949 ),and in late 1949 Nash was the first U.S to start doing it. And as for Ford “leading the way” in making air bags standard is a joke. They make it sound, as if they were the first to come out with them. Even though in 1975, Cadillacs were available with driver and passenger air bags.
Oh then there's the 2002 Explorer,” Ford launched the industry’s first rollover-activated side curtain air bags”. But in 1998, Volvo,Toyota,and BMW already had curtain air bags. That not only activated in a roll over but also during a side impact.
About the only thing that's (some what) true,would be the Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Warning with Brake Support and Blind Spot Information System (BLIS
