According to reports, U.S. Vice President Joe Biden is scheduled to visit a closed General Motors plant in his home-state of Delaware where he will announce the reopening of the closed GM Plant in Wilmington that will now produce plug-in hybrid electric-vehicles for Fisker Automotive.

CEO Henrik Fisker is also going to visit the reopening of the Wilmington, Delaware plant where his company will build a new mid-size plug-in hybrid sedan (not the Karma) in 2012.

Fisker plans on producing 100,000 units of the mid-size sedan annually. Prices are expected to start around $40,000.

According to a White House statement, Biden’s visit is planned for 10 a.m on Tuesday.
