At least the display on the Taurus fits within the center stack of the car nicely, the one on the Buick clearly demonstrates that the car was designed with a navigation screen in mind and when you opt out of it, you're left with an unsightly crater. This car looks much better with the nav screen. Same goes for the 370Z and the Honda Accord.

Sjones, yes I agree definitely agree that the TL and Taurus and MKS have similar displays. In fact, some of the Buick's competitors have worse looking displays than the 2010 LaCrosse. Nonetheless, we feel that with Buick being a luxury brand, GM should differentiate the display design from Chevrolet models. A different color rather than "ice-blue" could have done the trick.

Omar Rana
Editor in Chief.

Brendon, the wood trim doesn't feel cheap at all. Buick also offers a “technical,” titanium-type square trim details.

Brendon, teh steering wheel looks more like the Gladiator helmet. I do agree witht the original poster that the display should be a little more advanced. The technology is there, why not implement it?

Why are so many taking shots at this display? Acura has a similar display in cars without navigation. In fact, this screen actually has higher resolution than what you find in cars like the TL and Taurus when not equipped with navigation. Car and Driver made a similar complaint about the radio display. Most luxury cars look less elegant when they lack navigation screens. The MKZ, ES350, TL, etc. look more like regular cars once you subtract the nav from the dash.
