As a part of his compensation he is given a car allowance, but only if the car he drives has one of their components in it.<br><br>From his perspective, it would be bad form not to drive a car with the company's product in it and it would look bad to the customers. Some of his peers feel like they are forced to drive a car that they would not otherwise choose. Either way, it doesn't mean that you like the car.<br><br>What I found interesting is that he didn't reveal the makes of the other cars he owns. Detroit auto execs are known for their affection for Italian styling.<br><br>Also, Lutz has a large garage that is filled with non-GM product.
