Critically, they also realized they needed to maintain a significant price difference (i.e. cheap) which they did. Soon they may venture higher up the automotive food chain and may pick up a distressed brand along the way (a la VW or Tata), or they may create their own luxury division (a la Lexus).  The Honda CEO recently admitted that Korean car makers posed a greater threat the Europe or the US.</description>

		<description>Hopefully this will the kick in the pants that Toyota/Honda needs to kick it up a notch.  Granted, Hyundai is a long aways from their sales but the gap is closing.</description>
