Audi A3 Cabriolet

According to a report by Automotive News, the dollar’s weakness against the euro is shaping up Audi’s U.S. product plans. While the Ingolstadt automaker has no plans to offer the A1 minicar or the A3 convertible in the U.S., it is considering other models for the North American market.

Sources say that besides the 5-door A3 2.0L clean diesel this year, Audi will offer a crossover (the Q3) and a sedan based on the A3 for the United States market.

The German automaker is considering a battery-electric version of the A2 for the United States as well.

Other then that, the redesigned Audi A8 sedan is scheduled to arrive by the end of 2010 followed by the introduction of the A7 in 2011.

How about the A3 3-door? I would love to see that.
