2009 Ford F-150

The Ford F-Series still dominates sales in North America with a total of 33,877 units sold in September 2009. Toyota’s Camry held the No.2 spot with 25,745 units sold. The Volkswagen Jetta broke into the Top 20 with a total of 9,568 units sold, beating out the Ford Focus, which sold 9,182.

The Chevrolet Camaro also broke it into the Top 20 with a total of 7,961 units sold – it outsold the Ford Mustang for the fourth consecutive month.

    For many years Ford and Chevrolet trucks swapped first and second on the list. In the past couple of years Chevy has fallen off in sales. The key to the sales leadership is that all sales figures are inclusive of commercial use vehicles. That goes for cars that make it to rental fleets, as well.
  • How can the F-series Truck remain on top month after month? And also why is the Impala on this list...I thought it died years ago!
