Video: Hennessey’s ZR1 LS9 V8-powered HPE700 Camaro on the dyno
Obsessed with getting more power out of the new 2010 Chevrolet Camaro, Hennessey has already offered up a 562-hp HPE550 upgrade package and the 655-hp HPE650 package.
Work is now underway on their next addition to the Camaro lineup of upgrades – the HPE700 LS9 V8. The engineers have thrown in the LS9 Supercharged V8 from the Chevrolet Corvette ZR and plan to extract a total of 705-hp with a maximum torque of 717 lb-ft.
Hennessey has just released a video of the HPE700 sitting on the dyno pumping out 645-hp, which means there is still some work to be done.
The LS9 upgrade will cost you a whopping $39,500 over the initial price of your Camaro SS. Hennessey says that it already has 13 orders for the HPE700.
