It’s not that the 2010 Ford Taurus SHO doesn’t look superb when you look it – it’s just that it looks all the other Taurus variants. However, come 2012, the Taurus SHO will get a little more to SHOw off.

While the current, 2010 Ford Taurus gets a little more for being the top-dog of the sedan’s lineup – like a nice lip spoiler, silver trip, front LED bars, SHO badging and such – come 2012, the model will get a lot more styling, says a Ford insider.

Sources told CARandDRIVER that the 2010 Taurus SHO settled on styling that is ”on the cautious side” of conservative as far as performance sedans go. Nonetheless, Ford is definitely working to make the SHO like a little more aggressive in the future.

Please, keep it tasteful and classy…This is a grown-up's car.Myself, I'd like the trunk spoiler to not be forced on me._Add some slotted/crossed-drilled rotors, at least.Brighter numbers on the gauges and a red-line.Side turn-markers inside the fake side-vents.

And add to that; bigger brakes with nice looking Brembo /Baer /Wilwood calipers front and back, 3″ dual exhaust tips on each side similar to the s classes (even Kias now offer single tips on each side), a stripped down Sport version, offer a true dual clutch 6M, upgraded grill for SHO, painted lower body for SHO, Darker head and tail lights, a coupe and a SOFT TOP convertible (it's already a lil too heavy and these may be a lil too late for this generation) optional real carbon fiber trim, etc. etc. This car already looks good but not different from the lower models.

Also as a side note I think that they should do a Hybrid or an electric version of the base Taurus as a lower priced full sized Hybrid / Electric to maybe compete with the Asians/ Europeans on the lower end of the price scale as there are no Domestic full sized Hybrids…. that I'm aware of.

Ok, its not bad at all. however.. ford.. ADD A FREKIN MANUAL TRANSMISSION! If you want to show off in your SHO, then show off by driving a stick? i would think that wouldve been the first option on the list…but nope.. and definately cut some weight. as for a body kit? make bigger intakes. whats with the little slits on the bottom corners? you can make this car look so aggressive while keeping it classy. just look at audi and what the do to their S, and RS lines.

Well at least Ford realizes that it needs to do a little more to differentiate the SHO from the other Taurus models, so that's a step in the right direction. While I am certainly impressed with the new 2010 Taurus, the SHO in particular needs a few exterior and interior enhancements to further separate it from the rest of the Taurus lineup. One major change that Ford needs to implement A.S.A.P is to eliminate the black plastic body trim and make it body colored. This type of body cladding is fine for maybe a base Taurus model, but for a top of the line, flagship sedan that is close to or over 40 grand, this is a glaring mistake. Also, as far as the interior is concerned, why is there no full leather seating package available? In fact a special designed sport leather seat exclusive only to the SHO should have been standard, and the Miko suede inserts optional (maybe). Again no leather seats, at least as a option on a car in this price range is a glaring mistake. And for the entire Taurus lineup, I think Ford needs to add more soft touch material added around the center console, bottom dash and door areas where the legs/knees rest. The plastics used are still too hard and dense, especially because the very high console area allows for very little leg room when driving so your legs/knees always feel like their resting against a well designed, chiseled rock. The annoying fake wood trim that extends all the way down to the bottom of the door handles has to go! This is another hard plastic piece that my knees keep hitting constantly Did Ford really have focus groups to test the ergonomics and material quality of the interior? I do feel that maybe a more redefined (not overly designed) front lower fascia on the SHO that is not shared with any of the other Taurus will allow the SHO to stand out more. Especially the bottom grill which on all the Taurus models look cheap and unfinished when compared to the rest of the beautiful design of the car. And please get rid of those horrible looking tacky ECO-BOOST logos on the rear. Ford can put all the ECO-BOOST nomenclature in the engine bay where it belongs. Also the SHO logo on the back window pillar is a joke, as it is barely visible unless your very close to the car, so I doubt it does much to distinguish it as a special edition Taurus so eliminate it. Besides these minor changes which in my opinion Ford needs to make to refine the Taurus somewhat, the Taurus is still a terrific automobile and one of the best full sized sedans on the market today.

What the hell is wrong with you guys in Detroit. This is an SHO for crying out loud, and you do not have a manual tranny???????????????? Manual should be standard for this kind of car. HELLOOOO?????????????? Whoever heads your marketing should be canned. Why cut out such a big segment of your buyers? I really don't get it. Please wake up and add a FREAKING manual tranny….

How about a “Four-door-coupe” to rival The V-dub CC! Or just throw in some LED tail lights, different bumpers and lower it a bit. Give it blue-tinted windows and side mirrors, and offer some stripe kits perhaps? Or would that all be tacky. The blueish windows would be cool! Kind of like the VW GLI and GTI, and everything Mercedes!!!

I think Ford should give the SHO a 5.0 engine with twin turbo’s or a supper charger and call it the SHO Sopper Bull.  I also think that you guys should give it an aggressive body Kit like the two taurus SHO’S  shone at the SEMA 2010 auto show
