2010 Hyundai ix35

- Key Competitors: Jeep Compass, Nissan Rogue, Saturn Vue, Toyota RAV4, Honda CR-V, Ford Escape.
- Engine/Fuel-Economy: 184-hp 2.0L diesel R with combined estimated fuel-economy of 36 mpg; 166-hp Theta-II with estimated fuel-economy of 28 mpg.
- Transmission: 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic.
- Pricing/Availability:  TBA/Sales being in mid-2010.

While we won’t get to see the 2010 Hyundai Tucson until the 2009 LA Auto Show later this year, Europeans get to see their version of the compact SUV in Frankfurt with the debut of the 2010 Hyundai ix35.

Europeans will be offered a new 184-hp 2.0 diesel option along with a 166-hp Theta-II gasoline model. The U.S. market will only get the gasoline model, which gets an estimated 28 mpg.

    The design direction that Hyundai have taken to develop this car is perfect and will be key to the success that im sure it will have. Reviews have already shown that the ix35 can even perform rather than just “look good”. I've been inside the car and its a modern styled sleek; almost futuristic design that appeals to a younger audience. I can't point a finger on many bad points given the ix35 price tag, Hyundai are just doing it all right at the moment!
