Tesla Roadster Sport

The 248-hp Tesla Roadster is an already expensive vehicle with pricing starting at $101,500. However, it allows you to go from 0 to 60 in 3.9 seconds, is 100 percent electric and allows you to travel 244 miles before you need to plug it in.

What’s better than a Tesla Roadster? A Tesla Roadster Sport. The “Sport” adds a total of 288-hp to the Tesla Roadster, increased winding density for lower resistance and higher peak torque, an adjustable suspension, Yokohama A048 Ultra high-performance tires and the ability to go from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds.

Based on Tesla’s Roadster 2, the Tesla Roadster Sport will run you an additional $19,500 for a total of $128,500. Worth it? Of course – if you have close to an extra $20,000 laying around under your mattress.

if you can afford a $100,000 electric car your not buying it for the performance...i dont think they'll have a problem selling a "top of the line" version of the tesla

same here....$20,000 extra is way too much... i would just go for the Tesla Roadster at $106k if i cared for the environment that much.
  • even if I did have an extra $20k lying around (or the $100k to buy a base model) I can't see how a suspension, engine, and gearing upgrade that results in a 0.2 second 0-60 improvement is worth it. I wonder how much for the suspension alone.

Really can't wait for the 4-door to become available, it'd be nice if they could drop the price of that another $10k though so it could compete with accords and camrys.
