Scion iQ hitting dealerships in fall 2010

Looking to expand its current model lineup, dealers have confirmed that the production Scion iQ will begin selling in the fall of 2010. The vice president of the division, Jack Hollis, says that he’s fighting for the car, but dealers say it’s a done deal.

“Jack told us it’s coming next September or October,”  a large Toyota dealer told AutoWeek.

The Scion iQ, which is based on Toyota’s iQ 3+1 car, will be lengthened by an inch and a half and will receive other minimal changes to meet U.S. standards

Power will most likely come from a 1.3L 4-cylinder VVT-i making 93-hp with a peak torque of 89 lb-ft.
