According to reports coming out of Japan, Toyota will end production at the joint venture factory in California that it started with General Motors in March 2010.

According to Japan’s Asahi Shimbun, Toyota has started to inform its main suppliers about the plans.

A Toyota spokesman said the company has reached no official decision yet. Toyota has previously said that it will decide by the end of this month whether to pull out of the NUMMI plant.

Production of GM’s Pontiac Vibe is due to end this month. NUMMI also produces the Toyota Corolla and the Tacoma pickup.

That first sentence sounds like the joint venture starts in 3/2010. They need some good proof-reader.

I think you need to get your facts straight and stop reporting false information. Do you honestly think Toyota is stupid. They didn't get as far as they are today by leaking information to the press. Report the facts, if you don't have them correct mind your own business because your messing with 47,000 families minds. You just better be careful because if NUMMI does close one of their employees might just be smarter then you and take your job, so you better hope and pray for everyones sake that the plant stays open.
