The 2010 Chevrolet Camaro, which hasn’t even gone on sale yet, has already been sold out through pre-sale orders in Japan. General Motors Asia Pacific says that more than 120 orders for the new Camaro were taken, which is the company’s quota for the year.

GMAP spokesman Michihiro Yamamori, said that many of the orders were taken from men in their thirties and forties who haven’t been put off by GM’s bankruptcy filing.

Final pricing for the Japan-spec 2010 Camaro has yet to be released but Japanese media says to look between $45,325 to $56,390 for the V6 and the V8 Camaro SS respectively.

Wow, 120 cars! That is 1/4 of the average pre-bankruptcy GM dealers annual sales.

Now that put a dent in the trade surplus.

hehe that just sounds funny…a chevy sold out in japan via pre-orders, even if it is only 120 cars
