Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce vs. Chevrolet Corvette ZR1

Obviously it would be a bold statement to say that the Corvette ZR1 can beat the Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce – in fact it would be down right blasphemous. However, can ZR1 actually keep up with the Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce? Well, the folks at AutoCar decided to figure that one out.

Refresher:

Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce: 6.5 V12 producing 670-hp and a peak torque of 487 lb-ft. 0 to 62 mph comes in 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 212 mph.
Chevrolet Corvette ZR1: LS9 supercharged 6.2L V8 engine producing 638-hp and 604 lb-ft of torque. 0 to 60 mph comes in 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 205 mph.

    That hop at 3:05 was most excellent indeed. Somehow the Lambo just seemed a little more composed. Pretty damn impressive performance by the ZR1 however.

    WTF kind of video/question is this? Of course it can "keep up". I do notice the ZR1 thrusting toward the Lambo repeatedly. The question is what would a ZR1 that cost the public 440k do to the Lambo if it existed? This ZR1 only cost around 100k.
