Ever wonder what happened to that Cadillac CTS Coupe that was going to come out? The original release of the model was planned for this summer, however, GM’s bankruptcy resulted in many product scheduling changes. According to a GM spokesman, the Cadillac CTS Coupe is now going to be released in May 2010 as a 2011 model year.

The CTS Coupe will share engine choices with the current Cadillac CTS sedan.

The 2011 Cadillac CTS Coupe will be joined quickly by the Cadillac CTS-V Coupe. Power for the CTS-V Coupe will come from the same 6.2L Supercharged V8 LSA as the CTS-V sedan. Output will be rated at 556-hp with a maximum torque of 551 lb-ft.

Yesterday, General Motors Company’s Chairman Edward Whitacre said that GM will be introducing certain vehicles sooner than originally planned to fight for its market share.
