What you’re seeing here are the first “shots” of the upcoming BMW concept scheduled to make its debut next month at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. After announcing that BMW will no longer compete in Formula One, the automaker said that it will reallocate freed up resources “to the development of new drive technologies and projects in the field of sustainability.”
The concept seen here is the first hint at where those resources will be applied. It is expected to incorporate all of BMW’s EfficientDynamics fuel-saving technologies and is said to be a “two-seater that draws on all the latest BMW technology and lightweight build processes.”
We’ll have more details as we get them but for now enjoy these shots of the covered up concept making its way out of a trailer somewhere in Germany.
