With regard to the electric vehicles initiative, isn't one of the goals of electric vehicles to eliminate the allegedly dangerous greenhouse gasses. The problem is that electric cars rely on electricity to power them and the majority of power plants in the US are coal fired. So the carbon trade goes to coal from petrol chemicals and that is so much better. Where is the initiative for nuclear power plants to replace the coal plants?

As to the Top Gear point, from my experience, adult British men are a rather cold lot. As they get older they become more and more indifferent to women.

i'm sitting at a plant right now that produces over 900 MW of energy with a single unit and zero carbon emissions. nuclear is the way to go no doubt…its a growing sector but it takes a loooong time to build these things. ironically enough half of the delays have to do with the eco-junkies that want less coal plants in the first place

Then let's get started. If there is a need to fight the NIMBYs and the Greens, the the sooner the better.
