Diesels paying back quicker than hybrid models: While Japanese automakers are increasing their focus on implementing hybrid systems into their vehicles, German automakers continue to stay true to diesel models. Edmunds.com’s recent research shows that a diesel model’s payback time is quicker than a hybrid-electric model. – AutoObserver

GM to boost Q3 production: General Motors Company plans to boost third-quarter production by 35 percent over second-quarter levels. GM said it will build 210,000 cars and 325,000 light trucks in the three-month period, reports Automotive News.
