Many people were holding out for the start of the program and once all of those buyers are processed I expect that sales will lag and inventories will grow again.<br><br>Americans have been trained to buy only when the incentives are trotted out. Up to $4,500 from the taxpayers plus whatever other incentives are available for the out going 2009s will drop off the face of the earth as the 2010s arrive. Rebates and employee pricing cannot be too far behind.<br><br>The manufacturers will never learn. The bump in sales from Cash for Clunkers is a temporary at best.
