these major makes have so much at stake when competing in motorsport's pinnacle series. no glory when u're not standing at the top podium step (2nd place is first of the losers). these auto manufacturers usually win LESSER racing series, but F1 is a beast. even w/ today's restrictive regs, it's still cutting edge tech to the Nth degree.
