Supercar rental club offering owners $33,000 to lend their vehicles

During a time of recession, many enthusiasts are renting supercars instead of shelling out hundreds of thousands of dollars to own them. However, in another twist, one rental club is offering supercar owners up to $33,000 a year to lend their vehicles to the company’s fleet.

Ecurie25, based in the UK, is offering supercar owner-members cash and other incentives such as covering their insurance, parking and valet service bills. Owner-members pay a $164 monthly fee and the cost of servicing and repairs.

“We put your car on the Ecurie25 fleet, look after it, and in return pay you an amount per mile in either cash or club credits,” says the company’s website. “The amount of pounds or credits you receive depends on the running cost of your vehicle as calculated by Ecurie25. Clearly, we pay more per mile for a Lamborghini than we do for a Porsche 911.”

Ecurie25 offers a Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4, an Aston Martin DBS and a Ferrari F430 Spider in their rental fleet.
