I've heard of electronic governors that automatically fine drivers in speed zones using a car's navigation system.

I hope that would never be implemented.

Statistics are a funny thing. You really have to know what was being measured and what is not being revealed.

Is this study based on fatailities per miles traveled or is it based simply on gross totals? Is there a political agenda attached ot this study?

Most studies that measure deaths per miles traveled show a decrease in deaths since the change from 55 mph.

My recollection was that 55 mph proved to be as successful as prohibition was in the 20s. What is next - electronic governors on our cars?
