You know the routine – it’s time for us to gather up some of our random findings in our daily Miscellaneous Thoughts post.

1993 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 parked next to 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS: We’re enjoying our last couple of days with the 2010 Camaro SS.  Today we came out and found a 1993 Camaro Z28 parked next to our 2010 Camaro SS. Another day – another Camaro fan drooling over the new-generation. We’ll be taking pictures of both together for our final review.

Congress may extend ‘Cash for Guzzlers’: According to Dave McCurdy, president of the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers, Congress could begin to debate an extension of the approved cash-for-guzzlers program as early as this fall if the current program proves to be a success. – Automotive News

GM to get final $20 billion in government loans: Steve Rattner, top advisor to Obama’s auto task force, said that General Motors will get the remaining $20 billion in government bankruptcy financing over the rest of this year and could be ready to launch an initial public stock offering in early 2010. – Reuters
