Aston Martin Cygnet Computer Rendering

It’s smaller than the Ford Fiesta and it’s based on the Toyota iQ – sounds something like Aston Martin would never build right? Nonetheless, it is a reality and Aston Martin says that it won’t be making any mechanical changes to the base iQ model, which Toyota will provide the supercar automaker’s Gaydon facility.

The only changes Aston will add are cosmetic changes to the exterior and an upgraded interior with new technology and leather trim.

While Aston Martin only released a clay model photo of its Cygent, the folks at AutoExpress have put together a rendering of what the production version may look like.

What an irresponsible waste of creative capital. For that matter, the same with the stupid Lagonda concept truck.

If I were an Aston Martin shareholder I would be rather upset. While they are at it, the Aston front grille would fit nicely on the Honda S2000. Call it the Astonda Volante!
