We just heard that the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro outsold the 2010 Ford Mustang last month, but how did other vehicles perform in June? Overall, the year-over-year difference with June 2009 figures look more positive. How is the Impala even on that list? lol Really??

  • Allen

Of interesting note: the Impala is included here. KickingTires and Cars.com have talked recently about how the Impala was the 7th best selling car in America, WHEN including fleet sales, and the number they quoted was quite similar to what we see above (even a little bit higher).

So I'm betting these numbers also include fleet sales, which would make sense then that the F-150 is on top. When we include fleet sales, I'm surprised the Silverado isn't number 2.

What I want to see is the numbers WITHOUT fleet sales. Fleet sales are typically to customers who are thinking about something else than what the consumer car market is looking for, and fleet sales also have incredibly thin profit margins.

Yeah, I think the Accord would outsell the Camry by far then as Honda doesn't really sell to fleet yet Toyota sells quite a few to fleet.
