Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

After months and months of waiting, the sequel for Transformers is finally here. We were one of the many geeks to go watch Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen late Tuesday night/early Wednesday morning, where it made $16 million on the midnight showings alone.

The movie ended up grossing more than $55 million, scoring the best opening ever for a Wednesday release at the box office. The previous record was held by “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” which made $44.2 million in its opening-day.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is playing in more than 4,200 theaters in the United States.

Our two cents: We (I’m speaking for the rest of the egmCarTech team as well)  liked the first one better and if you’re a true Transformers fan (meaning it’s all about Autobots vs. Decepticons) you’ll love the second one as well. If you’re looking to watch a movie with an outstanding story line and amazing acting – don’t hold your breath. Nonetheless, it’s the heart-pumping action that will keep you on the edge of your seat from start-to-finish.

If you’ve seen it – we’d love to hear what you thought about the sequel. Let us know in the comments section after the jump.

I loved this movie, I thought it was better than the first one, but slightly. Loved the fact that they into more depth on the Transformers themselves than human characters. Kinda wished they told us about Sideswipe (Corvette Centennial), and the three bikes a bit more. I also liked Jetfire (Blackbird) wished he stayed around. Apparently I'm the only one in my group of friends that noticed the Chevy cops in China.

I totally agree with you guys... this movie is only getting bad reviews cuz people wanted to see more human interaction rather than Autobots and Decepticons going at it... i loved every second of it

i'm pretty shallow in my movie tastes so as long as a movie has explosions, guns, girls, cars, more explosions, cool military technology, or a hint of sci-fi, i'm happy. this movie had it all. move over apollo 13, revenge of the fallen is now my favorite movie of all time...it was spectacular

plus there were plenty of GM cars. so that was just icing on the cake. although i couldnt help but laugh at the first scene...malibu cop cars in china? lol
