John McCain tweets about buying a 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid

During last year’s election season there was a lot of controversy surrounding the type of vehicles the presidential candidates drove. At that time, Kelly Blue Book released a study showing that Barack Obama supporters drove hybrid and compact vehicles while John McCain supporters drove SUVs and pickups. We also learned that the McCain family owned 13 vehicles consisting of SUVs and pickups while the Obama family owned one Ford Escape hybrid.

Well, McCain is now out to change that image and is telling the whole world about it via Twitter. Senator John McCain just updated his twitter with his status reading: “Getting my new car today @ 12:15 pm – excited about my Ford Fusion Hybrid!”

Congrats to McCain – hope you enjoy your 2010 Fusion Hybrid.

    Pure Politics. He doesn't mention the Toyota Sequoia he drives in Arizona does he. Neither does "Barry the Pius" who owned a "Fresh" Chrysler 300 Hemi, that is until he was run for offices by the Saudi's and Soros. They're all hypocrits, period.

    I am sure sure that Obama has. He will never drive a car by himself again and he could care less about you and what you want.

    Obama is not an auto enthusiast.

    You are right, he did own a a 300, but once he go the the US Senate he dumped it for a politically correct Ford Escape hybrid.

    Obama is now one with the Greens.

    I think its stupid that there was controversy over what the candidates drive. I'd personally love to see a candidate or any politician who drives what they wants to drive...like a ZR1, Mustang, Camaro, 370Z, Porsche, M3, G8, Any SRT8 model etc. etc.

    I hate seeing politicians making decisions based on political expediency (even though its their career) I'd like to see more (any) politicians with real personalities and opinions...when they do things like buy a hybrid or trade in their old car for a hybrid it just reminds me how fake they are
