Bentley Continental hybrid in the works, Arnage hybrid coming as well

Not only is Bentley getting ready to unveil the next-generation Arnage, the Crewe, England automaker is also working on a hybrid model. According to AutoExpress, spies have caught a Bentley Continental prototype testing around the company’s headquarters with a gasoline-electric hybrid drivetrain.
Spies have taken shots of a Bentley Continental filed with a new unit featuring battery-powered motors. A retractable spoiler is also visible at the top of the bootlid. So how much power will it have and how many MPGs will it return?
The hybrid powerplant will be taken from the Audi Q7 and the Porsche Cayenne hybrid. Instead of being mated to the 3.6L V6 like the Q7 and the Cayenne, the Bentley Continental is expected to carry a larger 500-hp V8. As for the fuel-economy, figures – there is no official word from Bentley at all.
Bentley is expected to incorporate the hybrid system in other models in its range, including the next Arnage.
