Ferrari could not care less about this nonsense war for the best time at the Nurburgring! Ferrari cars and philosophy goes beyond raw figures. Ferrari is all about the spirit, aura, passion, pedigree, technology, and driving experience as a whole that the brand involves!! …. this comment is in regard to: “All we can say is – Sergio Marchionne may have been threatened with the Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR’s 7:22.1 Nurburgring lap.”

For that matter one could say that they are threatened by an evo or sti!… Personally I do nto even think that the all mighty GT-R concerns much the people at Maranello. Quite simply, the people who can afford a Ferrari will get a Ferrari, or a Lambo, or a Pagani or something like that… At least that is what I would do! (It is my personal point of view)

This is another example of why gov't shouldn't be running anything. they know nothing but always give out an 'air' like they know everything. any decent car enthusiast would know that Viper is no match for Ferrari. moreover, viper has never been a sale success. it cannot be dethrone corvette which is its main rival imo.

I thought the bid was $10 million?? Totally not worth a single car… The Viper has never had any sophistication, involvement, pedigree, or just skillful engineering to it..

I would compare the Viper to a cougar; young gents may want to ride it, it may have some hot credentials to it, but the divorce will leave it without any kind of support because even the judge will see it's asking for to much money… lol
