The 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-Class sedan and coupe are already out and about. Later this year, Mercedes-Benz will unveil an estate (station wagon) and convertible variant at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show. But wait – there’s more.

According to AutoExpress, Mercedes-Benz is now working on a production version of the Fascination Concept that was unveiled at the 2008 Paris Motor Show. The three-door estate, otherwise known as a shooting brake, will become the fifth derivative of the 2010 E-Class lineup in 2011.

Sources say that the model could become a standalone model like the CLS, with Mercedes-Benz execs hoping for the same success as they’ve had with the four-door-coupe.

The engine lineup of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class shooting brake will be shared with the E-Class Coupe.

Nice but it seems it 'sits' a little high.

MB must believe that the 5 series Gran Turismo must be going somewhere for them to do that, BUT initially the wagon was not to come here--so this must be the trade off for it..

Other then the lights, middle console, and roof--this concept does not seem too off pace from production..

I think its a smart move.....The E-Class coupe is a very nice and clean design versus the sedan. This shooting brake would be my choice and I hate hatchbacks....but something about this is sleek.
