Last month, Jaguar released the first teaser image of the 2010 Jaguar XJ along with a short promotional video. While the launch of the next-generation XJ is scheduled for July 9, Jaguar will keep dropping details here and there about the new model.

Today, Jaguar released a short footage of its design director Ian Callum talking about the 2010 Jaguar XJ.

“It certainly meets the expectations of people who understand design with a capital D,” says Callum.

Well, let’s finally see this thing with a capital F.

Refresher: The 2010 XJ will features a naturally aspirated 380-hp V6 and Jaguar/Land Rover’s new 510-hp supercharged V8 engine. The powertrain lineup will also have an option of the 275-hp AJ-V6D diesel that was recently seen in the Jaguar XF Diesel S.

Make the leap for the video.
