Just yesterday we heard updates on the Lexus LF-A that will make its production debut at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show later this year. It was reported that the LF-A is now reaching a top speed of more than 218 mph? Pretty hot right?

So hot that the Lexus LF-A race version that ran laps during the Nurburgring 24-Hour Race caught on fire.

Check out the video after the jump.

What a pile!! I love the fact that it had to be towed away by a Volkswagen!!!!

    Well that is embarrassing.
Lotus better make sure the kinks are worked out before they take it …

    for all

    that's sucks

that is not even the engine

the engine is in the front and the radiator and other gear stuff in behind

plus the place that first got burned is the place where the porsche car crash in to the lexus in the first laps of the race

fact is : it is amazing that the LFA no 15 got crashed and enter back the race and got ranked up till rank 87 before exit

another fact: both cars LFA14 & LFA15 if no car crashed with them they might be now from the top ten hence the LFA14 was ranked 28th before it got out

Sport car building is not Lexus' or Toyota's forte. Both should stick to build reliable appliances for the masses. There is nothing wrong with that!!

toyota needs to give it up…

    toyota got a great winner

and we 'll see when the production version realized in tokyo motor show

it 'll got a pre orders make it a real competitor with the germans, italians & britain

donna get me wrong i have an M3 but i drove the ISF

lexus is really near my M3

and may catch by the next generation

plus that car got crash with porsche in the beg. of 24N

and the place first got fire is the left rear corner and it is the same place where it crashed

so it is so far from the engine which is in the front

    plus

it got the fastest laps in the race !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
