680-hp Wimmer Porsche 911 GT2 goes up to 221 mph
It’s not like the Porsche 911 GT2 isn’t fast enough already, German tuner Wimmer Rennsporttechnik Solingen decided to make the already fast Stuttgart supercar even faster.
The extra power comes courtesy of a re-calibrated ECU, two optimized Wimmer turbochargers, a custom Wimmer sports exhaust system with two 100 Zeller sports catalysts, sports camshafts and a sport clutch. Total output comes in at 680-hp with a maximum torque of 642 lb-ft. Wimmer says that its 911 GT2 can go from 0 to 62 mph in 3.4 seconds and can keep going to a top speed of 221 mph.
The German tuner has also added new mirrors, a new set of Sportec wheels and a rear spoiler lip made of carbon fiber. Upon request, all parts can be made of carbon.
