According to PickupTrucks.com sources, an all-new 6.4L HEMI V8 is on its way for the Dodge Ram heavy-duty pickups by 2011. Insiders say that the engine will have an output rating of between 450-hp to 500-hp.

The engine is reported to be based on the current SRT8 6.1L HEMI V8 and is already being tested on the road on some heavy-duty Ram prototypes.

The 6.4L HEMI V8 is also expected to debut in the next-generation Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8.
