2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS totaled by unlicensed, uninsured driver

Yes – it hurts our feelings quite a lot. Camaro5 forum member Dertybr’s brand new 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS was totaled in a collision with a Ford Escape being driven by a teenager with no insurance or a driver’s license.

Fortunately, Dertybr’s insurance replacement protection plan covers the loss and he will be getting a brand new 2010 Camaro SS real soon.

I love the way everyone thinks someone rear-ended him, even though it's a VERY obvious pole imprint in the trunk. He ran a redlight and a little Ford Escape hit his rear quarter, spinning him into a pole. He's the only one that should be punched in the face.

What? Although the kid was unlicensed, the insurance pays for it? No wonder the priums in North America need to be more than double the ones in Europe!

People with new cars pay extra for uninsured driver coverage in the US... I'm sure its an extra $200 per year on the part of dertybr. It only takes 20 other people to NOT get in a wreck in the first year to pay for his Camaro. It's something we need to worry about in the US with all the uninsured illegal immigrants and people on welfare. I know all of this because I was hit by an uninsured welfare recipient 9 months after I purchased a fully loaded Dodge Dakota SLT HO. If not for my uninsured drivers coverage, I would have been up the creek without a paddle!
