Ohhh the OxBloodRed is enticing! I don't buy a Mercedes for the styling, I buy the car for all that it does well, and too me a Mercedes isn't a luxury--but a life saver...

As a MB fan, I have to say that there are several styling issues that irk me, however mildly. The unusual line above the rear wheels still jars me (historical nod acknowledged). The rearmost portion of the side-glass seems unresolved with the tiny triangle sticking out and looking very much the Band-Aid it is. Finally, the rear lenses, though well-integrated, still remind me of generic Japanese sedans (esp. an older Infiniti).

I'm sure the fit and finish is beautiful and that it is a far better car than the one it replaces. Even the cost is in the ballpark of what I would expect to pay... if only those niggling styling issues were addressed.
