Besides, the UAW will need a competitor of GM & Chrysler to hold out as the minimum package they would accept upon the next renegotiation. It doesn't sound like Ford got a most favored nations agreement with their recent agreement with the UAW and they are trying to negotiate one after the fact in public.

Something tells me that the UAW will say that they only accepted GM's & Chrysler's terms under duress. Besides, the UAW will need a competitor of GM & Chrysler to hold out as the minimum package they would accept upon the next renegotiation.
